I'm a -- not so lonely these days-- 25 year old transwoman living in Bremerton, Washington, a naval town of some distinction for its deep and excellent fjords, an hour's ride on the ferry from Seattle. I live here with my (quasi)-adopted sister Emi. I have two girlfriends, so I'm poly by definition. One lives in Orlando and one lives in Tucson. This sucks. On a random aside, though I have never lived in Virginia in my life, it seems that easily half my friends come from there.
After FFS and going fully full time I bounced around the country, living (and recuperating from unexpected complications from the surgery there) at a friend's house in Chicagoland for four and a half months, after having spent a stint in Atlanta and then Memphis after being kicked out by my parents. I then managed to go back to Atlanta, a small town northeast of Atlanta, and finally the city of Bellingham, almost two hours north of Seattle, for about a month living on the floor of a friend's apartment, the last part of which was spent with Emi, who ever-so-loyally came up from Georgia with me. I love her more than anyone else on the planet; she pretty much saved me in this process.
Anyway, after working some really shitty jobs and ending up in Bremerton with her, and working another really shitty job (it literally involved disposing of shit), everyone important to me in my life has encouraged me to go back to school, and freed from my neuroses before transitioning--where I was in college for, oh, five years without really getting anything done--I started Janaury 7th at Olympic Community College, where I will be finishing up shortly after a year of attendance, in December, and then going on to Washington State University, which I have been accepted for, to study Mechanical Engineering with a Nuclear Engineering focus. I had bounced around some other options, but due to financial aide requirements, WSU is the only school I can go to, and Nuclear fell naturally into my field of desires at that point.
GRS and more than a fair bit of other important things (like psych visits and laser) seems perpetually on hold for finances, but the future's still an optimistic one. I've found I'm really good at mentoring: If you're a transgirl or just somewhat confused, please, by all means, contact me here! I'd love to talk. And if you don't need that, contact me anyway. I like friends, especially local ones. I'm a bit of an arrogant, massive nerd, running a T61 for AutoCADing und so weiter, and, well, very much in love and more than a little European. I'm a cultured girl, and usually even act like it.
